HAMMCAMCARICATURES
As you can see, I don't do mean or cruel caricatures.I like to make people smile rather than cry. There is enough meanness in this world.
For older people, I will draw a little more hair or leave out some wrinkles. For girls wearing braces, I encourage them to smile because I won't draw the braces and embarrass them. Hopefully they will have the drawing a lot longer than they have the braces.
Also, a lot of caricaturists draw people from the side. Do you know why? It's because nobody knows what they look like from the side. If you watch a caricaturist who draws everyone from the side for an hour or two, you will notice that no matter who is in front of them, it is the same drawing over and over again. They aren't really looking at the person. I have people look directly at me so they can hold the drawing up to a mirror and see if I captured them.
